The french EPR society, ARPE, organizes the 9th theoretical and practical school on Electron Paramagnetic Resonance spectroscopy, from basics to advanced concepts.
The school will be located at the Village Club Miléade in Carry-le-Rouet. Practical sessions will take place in Aix-Marseille Université and CNRS laboratories in Marseille.

CONTENTS and PROGRAM
Everything you ever wanted to know about EPR spectroscopy !
Lectures alternating with hands on practical experiments in the laboratory.
Free radicals, metal ions, cw and pulsed EPR, instrumentation, hyperfine and dipolar spectroscopies, data analysis, simulation.
Applications in physics, chemistry and biology.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
The EPR school will be hosted at the Village Club Miléade in Carry-le-Rouet, about 30 km north-west of Marseille.
- Coming by plane
The closest airport is Marseille-Provence Airport in the city of Marignane, about 19 km from Carry-Le-Rouet. The best but expensive way to go to Carry-le-Rouet is taxi (50-70€). Taxi can be shared.
There are also buses to Saint-Charles station, the main station of Marseille (bus and train). More information on the Airport website.
- Coming by train
The closest main station is Saint-Charles station, in Marseille (bus and train). A local train (line 7 Marseille->Miramas) serves Carry-le-Rouet station. You can search for a train from Marseille to Carry-le-Rouet.
Carry-le-Rouet station is 3.5km far from the Village Club Miléade. A shuttle (Carry-le-Rouet station - Village Club Miléade) is available and will be organized according to arrival times.
FEE and PAYMENT INFORMATIONS
The number of participants is limited to 60 people : first come, first served.
The fee includes accomodation and all meals from Sunday evening to Thursday noon.
- Academic : 550€
- Student / Postdoc : 450€
- Non-academc (industry) : 1000€
The registration is free of charge for a limited number of CNRS employees.
It will be possible to pay by Credit card or bank transfert (french purchase order).
A limited number of single rooms is available for academic and non-academic people with an extra cost of 100€ . This extra cost has to be paid separately once on site (bank transfer or french cheque, no credit card).
REGISTRATION
The deadline for registration is the 25th of may 2023 2nd of june 2023.
CAUTION :
Three steps are required to complete the registration.
- step 1 : general information for organisers,
- step 2 : pre-registration for payment,
- step 3 : payment.
The last two steps are not managed by ARPE but by Azur-Colloque, a CNRS application to manage payments for thematic schools and congress.
